Overview
West Cork Distillers is seeking an Inspection Operative to join our team in Skibbereen. The role supports a new division ensuring the quality and integrity of products by visually inspecting items on the production line. Fluent English is required to ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are fully understood and followed.
Responsibilities
* Visually inspect products on the conveyor line for defects, contamination, or damage and remove non-conforming items.
* Safely unload product cases from containers, ensuring correct handling and stacking to prevent damage.
* Lift product cases onto the conveyor system and remove them at the end of the line.
* Follow company quality guidelines and report any recurring issues or product non-conformities to the supervisor promptly.
* Keep the inspection and conveyor area clean, free of hazards, and in an audit-ready state at all times.
* Adhere to all site health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and manual handling techniques.
* Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure continuous line operation and meet production targets.
Qualifications
* Capability of manual handling and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong observational skills to detect product defects quickly and accurately.
* Previous experience in a production, warehouse or food manufacturing environment.
