We provide data analytics and dashboards built by the .ie Xavier team to help with data‑led decision‑making for the public, registrars and policymakers.
The organisation is designated as an Operator of Essential Services (OES) under the EU Cyber directive, and we fulfil a pivotal role in maintaining the security and reliability of part of Ireland’s digital infrastructure.
Role Purpose
The CEO is the key executive leadership role within the .ie, with responsibility for the effective management and operation of this successful national registry for domain names, its core business, and a company designated as an Operator of Essential Services (OES) under the EU Cyber directive.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for delivering the Company’s operations and financial targets, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the Company, implementing successful business strategies, and engaging with the community and stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth.
The CEO operates within clear policy guidelines set by the Board and works closely with the Chairperson, the Board, and its subcommittees.
As leader of the management team at .ie, the CEO is expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the many stakeholders in Ireland, the international domain and cyber security expertise, state and regulatory bodies, and institutions nationally and internationally.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a successful track record of achievement at a senior management and leadership level in complex ICT operating environments, having served in a key leadership role for at least 10 years.
A degree or equivalent professional qualification is essential, with a preference for candidates with a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification.
The role requires proven effective “people management” and change management experience.
In addition, experience in marketing, budgeting and financial management in a commercial environment aligned to a proven track‑record in organisational development is sought.
Office location
.ie is Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin (opposite DART station & bus stops)
Working environment is hybrid
a set 3 days in the office each week (Tues, Wed & Thurs)
