The Opportunity
We are now seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our expanding team. This role is critical to ensuring that our commitment to safety is upheld across all projects and facilities. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, as well as project supervisors and engineering experts, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and continuously improving our health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies and procedures across all sites.
* Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
* Assist with the preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments, and permits-to-work.
* Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and health & safety training for employees and subcontractors.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate HSE records, including training logs, incident registers, and inspection reports.
* Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU legislation and industry best practice.
* Liaise with project managers, supervisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
The Person
* A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline (NEBOSH/IOSH preferred).
* 3–5 years' experience in a health & safety role, ideally within construction, engineering, or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards, and best practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
* Flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
