As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for daily tasks such as mechanical engineering, process design, computer-aided design (CAD) and project management. While the role is primarily located in Dublin 8, there is flexibility for some remote work
Responsibilities:
* Analysing customer site thermal infrastructure and proposing solutions
* Using your vast experience of heat pumps and thermal systems to come up with added value for our clients.
* Engineering design to validate those solutions and detail energy balances, predicted performance etc.
* Attending customer meetings
* Attending project construction and design meetings and taking an active role
* Overseeing detailed design by less experienced engineers and external consultants
* Supervising and leading the selection of key equipment and validating supplier selections.
* Coming up with novel, effective engineering solutions for our customers
* Detailed design work
* Sharing your knowledge with the less experienced engineers
* Take a technical leadership role in the design team.
* Create detailed mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards.
* Assist in project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring designs meet client expectations.
* Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure performance, accuracy, functionality, and safety
Relevant Experience:
* Strong Mechanical Engineering skills
* Bachelors (Level 8) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Superb quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills incorporating strong analytical skills
* Strong Experience in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and AutoCAD/BIM applications.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Proven self-starter and self-motivated
* Ability to work as part of a team and to manage workload and prioritise.
* Valid Full Drivers License (preferable, not mandatory)
* A keen desire to help deliver decarbonisation and the renewable energy transition
