About the Program
The program focuses on cultivating business acumen, sales skills, and leadership abilities in our participants. We seek individuals with a strong passion for sales, a drive to succeed, and a willingness to learn and grow with our organization.
Graduate Training: First 6 months
1. Develop core knowledge of business operations – warehouse, logistics, supply chain, administration, IT software, marketing.
2. Gain hands-on experience with our vast product range and learn about different manufacturers and electrical distribution industry.
3. Become proficient in building relationships, making deals, and advising customers face-to-face over trade counter e.g. electricians, contractors tradespeople.
4. Begin formal sales training course and network with other Graduate Trainees from across the company.
5. Complete workbook assessments to underpin learning and development and receive financial incentives for each one passed to required standard.
6-12 months
1. Transition to internal sales account management, engaging with business customers over phone e.g. construction companies, local government authorities, housing developers hotels.
2. Learn business development strategies and how to target win new trading accounts.
12 months beyond
1. Progress to diverse business-to-business field sales management position, with increased earning potential bigger bonuses.
2. Travel locally in company car, meeting clients discussing projects arranging social activities.
3. Work towards running own business in group, learning about staff management purchasing profit loss etc. Business operates in decentralised manner, allowing local managers make informed decisions that drive business forward.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be money-motivated, relationship builders, competitive driven and have passion for sales ability to build lasting relationships. A full driving licence is required for this role.
