Mbryonics is at the forefront of free space optical communications. Our product portfolio covers a wide range of emerging technologies from photonic integrated circuits to advanced optical systems and embedded software solutions. Our optical communications systems are integrated and deployed in satellite communications systems. The work is exciting and challenging and is at the forefront of the technology domains. As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated – Materials Programme Leader - to join our group.
The Materials Programme Leader will involve materials and inventory management process development in line with industry standards execution; (including ISO, ECSS, SPRS qualification and accreditation). Smooth and efficient flow of materials will be key to effective cash flow management and delivery on customer commitments. Goals and KPIs will be aligned to support streamlining operations, enhancing productivity, and ultimately, achieving business and programmatic goals for customers. It will involve strong communications and organisational skills, engaging across multidisciplinary functions, and with both internal and external stakeholders. This will involve a keen understanding across multiple areas of the business. The role requires an open and flexible mind-set open to support change management, problem-solving and creating an environment for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
* Materials Management Strategy: Support development and implementation of materials management strategies and processes to optimise inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and drive sustainable growth.
* Materials and Inventory Budget Management: Understand the organisation’s materials and inventory budget and controls processes to effectively manage cashflow, understand and escalate risks to Supply Chain Director.
* Inventory Controls Management: Managing Materials Handling and third-party services, including all physical materials flows from production to warehousing, logistics and distribution service providers and controls. Communicate process control with effective integration of meaningly KPIs and OPEX for materials and inventory management across the organisation.
* Supplier management: Develop and manage relationships with supplier partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and components and for vendor and supplier service level monitoring.
* Demand Planning and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP): Demand plan integration, and materials requirements planning (MRP) systems, including forecasting, inventory management, and procurement planning and interpret the cashflow and operational parameters to cross functional leadership. Ensuring MRP meets Scheduling requirement and support implementation of efficient procurement processes.
* Master Scheduling: Close collaboration with the Production Planning team to understand requirements and constraints for optimising schedules for manufacturing requirements for R&D, NPD and production line kanban requirements.
* Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Ensure effective implementation of NPD to materials and inventory and production planning, including Bom management and Item enrichment requirements and controls and trade and compliance parameters.
* Leadership and Collaboration: Deploy cross functional collaboration and control processes accelerating adoption of SIOP and IBP processes with cross-functional teams, including commercial, finance, production, HR procurement, logistics. Understand resource and process capacity parameters to ensure alignment and smooth operations, facilitating consensus on supply plans to meet objectives during a rapid growth phase.
* Digital Transformation: Support scoping of technology and system requirements, system deployment, testing and change management for control and effective management of strategic materials, inventory, warehousing and distribution processes. Use a data driven and technology optimised processes, to analyse materials management data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost savings. Materials Process owner for integration of M&I processes into Digital twin technology.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Escalate any operational issues as required to Materials and Supply Chain Management, Quality, Finance, Operations and Facilities as support needed.

Effective communicator of change management to secure buy in and successful outcomes.
* Digital Fluency: Review opportunities and business cases for adopting technology, software applications and AI integrations to accelerate growth and drive efficiencies and insights.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
* Certification in supply chain management, such as APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
* Proven experience in materials management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control principles, and supply chain management best practices.
* Proficiency in inventory management software and systems optimisation, requirements scoping, deployments, and change requests across MRP, or MES, ERP.
* Knowledge of supply chain logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, including regulatory requirements and industry standards related to materials management.
