Key responsibilities include creating technical designs and plans, consulting with clients to understand project specifications, and estimating costs for materials and labor. The role also involves overseeing projects and collaborating with other design team members to ensure project success. The candidate will need to balance technical precision with creative problem-solving to meet client expectations.QualificationsProficiency in Technical Design and a strong understanding of furniture.Experience in residential and commercial interior designKnowledge and expertise in various furniture brandsStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with relevant design software and toolsPrevious experience working with furniture suppliers or fit-out companiesStrong understanding of commercial furniture systems, brands, suppliers and design trends.Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, designers, and suppliersKey Responsibilities:Assist the team in preparing detailed FF&E specification schedules for tender and project delivery.Create accurate pricing documents and quotation packs for furniture install and refurb & furnish projects.Liaise directly with leading furniture brands and suppliers to obtain pricing, technical data, and lead times.Support product selection and value engineering to ensure specifications meet design intent and budget constraints.Maintain and update the company's furniture library with current product data, finishes, and supplier information.Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure a seamless handover from design to delivery.Prepare and format tender documentation and client presentation materials.Track design revisions, update specification documents and cost controls as projects progress.Attend supplier presentations and trade events to stay informed on new product ranges and trends.
