A dynamic and growing Irish business with a strong presence in the South East is currently seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its expanding finance function. This opportunity is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant coming from a Big 4 or Top 10 practice who is keen to make a first move into industry within a commercially focused and fast‑paced organisation. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives while supporting key decision‑making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Producing monthly financial reports and supporting variance analysis across business units
Partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights and commercial support
Supporting the year‑end audit process and liaising with external advisors
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
Contributing to the enhancement of finance systems, reporting processes, and internal procedures
Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance requirements
Involvement in ongoing finance projects and process improvement initiatives as the business continues to grow
Candidate Profile
Newly qualified accountant trained within a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice preferred
Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Motivated, adaptable, and eager to progress within a commercial finance environment
Strong systems and Excel skills with an interest in improving processes
Commercially focused with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
