Senior Occupational Therapist
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Mental Health Team in Longford as a Senior Occupational Therapist. The role requires an experienced occupational therapist with community experience, seeking autonomy and support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and building on our existing OT presence in the team, focusing on preventative interventions for people living with mental health difficulties in the community. They will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop recovery-focused care plans tailored to each service user.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage a complex caseload of adults with varying mental health presentations, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
* Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify functional needs and inform care planning.
* Design and deliver individual and group-based interventions focused on improving daily living skills, community participation, vocational goals, and social engagement.
* Supervise and support the professional development of junior Occupational Therapists or students as required.
Requirements:
* BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU)
* CORU Registration (essential)
* Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, with at least 1 year in adult mental health
* Experience delivering occupational therapy in the Community
