Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – Respiratory Medical Ward
Naas General Hospital.
There is currently one permanent full‑time vacancy available.
A panel may be formed to fill current and future vacancies.
Purpose of the Post
To be responsible for the management, care and treatment of service users, ensuring that the optimum standard of care is provided within the designated area(s) of responsibility. The primary role of the CNM 1 will be one of clinical and professional leadership and development in the nursing team, including the development of nursing staff through in‑service training, orientation of new staff and arranging for clinical experience and supervision of student nurses where appropriate.
Eligibility Criteria
Professional Qualifications & Experience
Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives (or eligible to be registered).
At least three years post‑registration experience, of which at least one year must be in the specialty or related area of an acute respiratory medical ward.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
High standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capability to discharge the duties of the role.
Annual Registration
Maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives.
Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE via the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Health
Candidate must be fully competent and capable of undertaking duties and be in a health state that permits regular and efficient service delivery.
Character
Candidate must be of good character.
Post Specific Requirements
Demonstrate depth and breadth of nursing experience in acute respiratory care relevant to the role.
