A leading main contractor in Cork is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a well-established company delivering high-quality healthcare and fit out projects across Ireland.

Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience successfully delivering healthcare, hospital, laboratory, or medical fit out projects in Ireland.
* Strong understanding of HSE requirements, infection control protocols, and Irish construction standards specific to live healthcare environments.
* Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.
* Highly organised with the ability to coordinate complex programmes, phasing, and sequencing to minimise disruption.
* Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and able to manage client expectations professionally.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience overseeing budgets, cost control, and change management.
* Confident liaising with hospital estates teams, consultants, design teams, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full project lifecycle from design development to practical completion and handover.
* Develop and monitor detailed project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
* Manage quality assurance, health & safety compliance, and infection control measures throughout the project.
* Chair regular progress meetings with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
* Review drawings, coordinate design queries, and manage procurement schedules.
* Ensure strict adherence to client specifications, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
* Provide clear leadership to site teams, fostering a collaborative and proactive working environment.
* Monitor progress, prepare reports, and communicate regularly with senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Project Manager role within the healthcare or specialist fit out sector.
* Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, fit out methodologies, and healthcare-specific compliance standards.
* Track record of successfully delivering projects within live hospital or healthcare environments.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
* Relevant third-level construction qualification.
* Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and up-to-date H&S certifications.
