You will also be expected to manage customer relationships through the use of your excellent communication skills.This role requires a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in field sales, and the ability to manage their own book of business effectively. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong sales acumen, and demonstrate a passion for exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in the packaging industry is preferable, but not essential.The CandidateCandidates in this position should:• Have excellent verbal and written communications skills and possess an excellent phone manner.• Have the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.• Be self-motivated and prepared to be flexible when the occasion demands.• Be numerate and IT literate.• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• Be familiar with best practice office procedure including cash handling, telephone techniques and general reception duties.The RoleThe chosen candidate would be expected to:• Remain knowledgeable on all products offered.• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.• Build long term trustful relationships with customers• Manage sales orders and ensure all orders are on time as scheduled.• To deal with telephone calls/queries in an efficient and professional manner.• To communicate professionally and effectively with staff, customers and clients.• To participate in any training courses as determined by the Company.Key Responsibilities• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the relevant region in conjunction with the Sales Manager.• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships and portfolio.• Conduct regular sales visits to prospective and existing clients to promote company products and services.• Monitor sales performance and activity levels so to provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales management team.• Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, marketing, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement.• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand brand awareness and generate leads.Requirements:• Approx. 3-5 years sales experience is highly desirable, preferably in the packaging or related industry, but not essential.• Proven track record of growing existing business and the identification and development of new opportunities.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with customers• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently• Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to achieving sales targets and driving business growth• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the relevant region as required.Personal Attributes• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with multiple stakeholders.• Drive and determination to succeed.• Ability to work well as part of a team and to work on your own initiative.• Flexibility in working duties and areas of work.We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a team in a fast-paced company.
