Role OverviewMJF Group are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Adviser with at least 2 years of experience in Ireland working across commercial and residential construction projects. In addition to health & safety responsibilities, this role will also oversee facilities and building maintenance, ensuring that internal and external office spaces are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will also serve as the company's First Aider and Fire Warden, supporting a safe and compliant workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to Irish health & safety legislation, building regulations, and company policies.Risk Assessments: Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments for commercial and residential projects.Training & Induction: Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training sessions to site staff and contractors.Incident Management: Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.Documentation: Maintain accurate records including safety statements, method statements, and risk registers.Facilities Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of internal and external office spaces, ensuring they are safe, functional, and well-presented.On-site inspection: Ensuring safety standards and working conditions are met.Cleaning Standards: Monitor and maintain cleaning standards across all premises, coordinating with contractors or staff as required.Emergency Preparedness: Act as the company's First Aider and Fire Warden, ensuring readiness for medical or fire-related incidents.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to embed and ensure safety and maintenance best practices.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Minimum 2 years' health & safety advisory experience in Ireland, with exposure to both commercial and residential projects.Education: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Facilities Management, or related discipline.Certifications: Relevant 3rd level degree, IOSH preferred but not requiredKnowledge: Strong understanding of Irish health & safety legislation, construction regulations, and standards.Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with safety/facilities management systems.Soft skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
