Overview
Recruitment Specialist at Quorum Search Partners. You will be responsible for maintenance service to production and the site. You will be part of a multi-disciplined team ensuring all maintenance work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Employment details
* Hours of Work: Days/Evenings 06:00-14:30/14:30-23:30
* Shift allowance: 10% for the 14:30-23:30 shift
Responsibilities
* Providing both reactive and planned maintenance support to the full site
* Carry out installations and commissioning of plant/equipment and troubleshooting of same
* Contribute to the efficiency of the operation by maximizing uptime of machinery and minimising downtime in production and utility areas
* Troubleshooting using PLC programs
* Technical support for all the plant facilities
* Carry out engineering work orders in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence to cGMP
* Adhere to all site policies on Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety
* Assist the Health & Safety team in carrying out risk assessments of new and existing machines
* Ensure Health & Safety training is rolled out to the Maintenance team
* Closely monitor line and machine performance and improve where possible
* Overseeing of contractors on site
* Provide general maintenance support as designated by supervisors/manager
* Provide the Engineering Department with the highest levels of support, analysing plant downtime levels and implementing effective strategies to increase uptime
* Keep Engineering Manager and other area Managers informed of significant developments within their areas
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
* A relevant third level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician or fitter (Electrical/Mechanical Qualification/Mechanical Experience)
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role, with planned and reactive maintenance skills
* Working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
* Understanding of Food Safety policies and legislation (BRC & ISO)
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical, decisive approach
* Experience with a wide range of motor control systems, process temperature controls and pneumatics
* Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
* Experience with safety systems utilising isolation/ lock-off procedures, risk assessment and permit to work
* Flexible and adaptable; strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative
* On-call requirement for this role
