Facilitation Panel Co-ordinator Miximise public and workplace engagement programmes.
Overseeing the development and maintenance of a panel of facilitators, to include quality assurance/support Who We Are Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) is a national charity that addresses dying, death and bereavement in Ireland.
Our vision is an Ireland where people facing end of life or bereavement, and those who care for them, are provided with the care and support that they need.
Through advocacy and education, and the provision of services such as Nurses for Night Care and the Bereavement Support Line and our national programmes such as Hospice Friendly Hospitals, Dying Well at Home and Caru – Supporting Care and a smaller panel of core IHF facilitators who will operate as external trainers/ facilitators.
The role of Facilitator Panel Coordinator will develop and oversee the ongoing implementation of this initiative which will include the establishment of a Train the Trainer programme.
Salary: €45,101 - €53,060 depending on experience Contract Type: Three years fixed term contract – 37 hours a week.
Job Location: Our offices are based on Nassau St.
, Dublin 2.
We have a hybrid work model in place (a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the office).
Reporting to: Director of Bereavement and Education in the first instance Responsibilities: Devise a three-year project plan including deliverables for roll out of a facilitation panel model at Irish Hospice Foundation.
Coordinate the set up and ongoing operation of the panels Liaise with external organisation representatives to develop partnerships for hosting facilitators/training champions of IHF programmes 'Think Ahead' and 'Developing compassionate workplaces: grief in the workplace'.
Establish memoranda of understanding for organisations where embedded facilitators will train and support colleagues using IHF end of life and grief initiatives Set up and manage an organisational procedure for embedding pairs of facilitators in selected national organisations (recruit, select, train, supervise) Set up (eligibility criteria, recruitment, selection, training, supervision) and manage a freelance panel of facilitators for 'Developing compassionate workplaces: grief in the workplace training' and 'Think Ahead' Develop a quality assurance protocol, tracking and reporting mechanism for the facilitation panel Liaise with relevant programme leads in the design and delivery of training and the production of training materials/manuals Liaise with Metrics and Evaluation staff at IHF in defining, collecting and reporting core impact data At times, directly provide training to organisations/ cohorts, with reference to programme leads Oversee and support the work of an administrative assistant Routine input to organisational and team activities Any other tasks as may be assigned by the manager or designated person Qualifications and Experience IHF is open to applications from candidates who have experience in most but not all of the following areas.The successful candidate will be supported through their induction to increase their knowledge and ability to deliver on the responsibilities outlined here.
Further training and ongoing support will be available.
Essential: Excellent project management skills Third level qualification or relevant work experience (3- 5 years) A qualification in training and/or education/ adult education Awareness of and interest in working in the field of death/grief education Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills A demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality assurance systems Excellent written skills Proficient use of IT Experience working with organisations/ developing processes Desirable: A track record in evaluation and monitoring Worked in voluntary sector Experience of running train-the-trainers programmes or panel systems in another location The above Job Specification is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved, and, consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post that may be assigned to them from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office .
