Process / NPI Engineer – Injection Moulding (Medical Device)

An established global manufacturer in the medical device sector is looking to add a hands-on Process or NPI Engineerto its high-performing team in Longford. This is a long-term contract opportunity (minimum 24 months) ideal for someone who thrives in a cleanroom environment and enjoys a balance of technical problem-solving and on-the-floor process work.
The Role:
* Lead and support New Product Introductions (NPI) in a regulated, high-volume injection moulding environment.
* Carry out mould hanging, machine setup, and parameter optimisation for medical-grade tooling.
* Support and execute validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) with full compliance to industry standards.
* Partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
* Ensure accurate and complete technical documentation, including SOPs, protocols, and reports aligned with ISO 13485/FDA requirements.
What You’ll Need:
* Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or a related Engineering discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
* Strong, hands-on background in injection moulding, with confidence around tools and machinery.
* Experience with process documentation, validation, and technical writing in a regulated industry.
* A self-starter attitude with strong troubleshooting and floor-level problem-solving skills.
