The role of Assistant Director of Nursing is a senior leadership position that plays a key part in ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance are consistently achieved.
Job Description
* Support the Director of Nursing in day-to-day clinical and operational management
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the nursing and care teams
* Ensure delivery of safe, person-centred care in line with HIQA standards
* Oversee care planning, medication management, and clinical audits
* Participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives
* Foster a positive working culture focused on teamwork, compassion, and excellence
Requirements
* Active NMBI registration
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior nursing role, ideally within the care of the elderly sector
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A genuine commitment to providing outstanding care and promoting residents' quality of life
