QA Team Lead

Location:
Little Island, Cork, Ireland - predominately site based

Duration:
18 month contract

Hours:
39 hours per week

The QA Team Lead provides leadership and strategic direction to the Quality and site teams, ensuring compliance with cGMPs, regulatory requirements, and Johnson & Johnson Standards of Leadership.

The position drives a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the site while fostering collaboration and professional development.

roles and responsibilities.

Provide leadership and direction to Quality and site teams to achieve compliance and business objectives in line with J&J Standards of Leadership.
This will involve:

* Ensure all APIs and intermediates are produced and released in compliance with cGMPs, registered product filings, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain and continuously improve the site's quality system to meet evolving regulatory standards.
* Assess and align team organizational capabilities and personnel competencies with workload and expertise requirements.
* Coach and mentor the Quality Assurance team to support professional and personal development.
* Drive execution of QA team goals, objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promote a culture of quality and compliance through personal leadership and expertise.
* Foster collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure efficient and effective compliance programs.
* Oversee preparation and execution of internal and external audits and inspections; manage tracking and communication of audit commitments.
* Act as deputy for the Site Quality Head when required.
* Develop partnerships with local institutions (e.g., universities, enterprise bodies) to attract and recruit new talent.
* Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures, including compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act.
* Perform other duties as required.

You will possess strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
You will also bring:

* Builds strong, productive relationships across teams and functions.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
* Adapts to change and drives change management initiatives.
* Acts with integrity and aligns actions with the J&J Credo.
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality or compliance role within the biological and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of industry regulations including those of FDA, HPRA, EMEA and other authorities
* Experience managing audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
* Strong people leadership and coaching experience.
