Facilities Technician Role
This position involves day-to-day maintenance of facilities and utilities systems, building fabric, and plant. It also entails reporting to the facilities supervisor and manager.
Main Responsibilities
* To complete tasks and keep records up-to-date for helpdesk jobs and PPM tasks.
* Contribute as a facilities maintenance technician in the Whitfield Hospital wide facilities team, including satellite sites in Cleaboy, SETU Arena, Carlow, and Cork.
* Participate in energy management to ensure continuous improvement in energy use and reduction.
* Support the facilities manager with promoting energy awareness and sustainability (ISO 50,001 energy management system).
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified mechanical, electrical, or maintenance technician (Level 6 HETAC).
* At least 3 years post-qualification experience in facilities maintenance in a regulated pharmaceutical, healthcare, or food and beverage industry.
* Asset care maintenance services, maintenance standards, cost savings/minor works projects.
* Strong understanding of maintenance, reliability, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
