Job Purpose
The Assistant Instructor aims to support learners with personal, social, and vocational development, fostering independence and integration. The Instructor will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals with ASD, intellectual, physical, or sensory disabilities using person-centred approaches and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Key Responsibilities
* One-to-one key working to assist learners in developing person-centred plans aligned with our ethos.
* Delivering QQI-accredited modules.
* Providing personal care and assistance with medication.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You must have:
* QQI Level 5 Education, Health Care or Social Care Qualification.
* Patient Moving and Handing Qualification.
* Infection Control Qualification desirable.
* Experience of working with Learners who display behaviours that challenge.
* Experience in the provision of personal care and medication management.
* Skills in the care and support of individuals with disabilities.
