Lahinch Golf Club, one of the world's leading golf clubs, wishes to recruit an outstanding individual to the following position to lead the culinary operations at Lahinch Golf Club.
This senior role will develop the full food offering at the Club by promoting local produce to
create a memorable experience for members and visitors. Lahinch Golf Club hosted the Irish Open in 2019, the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2024 and is hosting the 51st Walker Cup match between USA and GB&I on 5th & 6th September 2026.
Head Chef - Lahich Golf Club
Reporting to the Clubhouse Manager, the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the General Manager and Clubhouse Manager to build a quality food offer for members and visitors to the Club.
Responsibilities Include:
· Create and deliver seasonal food offers.
· Lead all kitchen activities including concept development, supplier partnerships and team recruitment.
· Build and mentor a team of passionate professionals, committed to excellence.
· Oversee all culinary operations with a sharp focus on consistency, sustainability and detail.
· Prepare, cook and present food to consistently exceptional standards.
· Take ownership of budgets and cost control, working closely with the Clubhouse Manager.
· Ensure strict adherence to HACCP and hygiene standards across all food production areas.
· Develop and implement SOPs and comprehensive training manuals as required.
· Foster a positive and motivated kitchen culture through mentoring, appraisals and ongoing performance development.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
· Extensive experience in food operations.
· Visionary leadership with the ability to balance creative flair and commercial awareness.
· A strong connection to local produce, sustainability and customer experience.
