OverviewThe employer is an international engineering and infrastructure construction company.Supporting the GM onsite and reporting to the CFO at group level, this person is a key member of the management team, ensuring the smooth running of the accounting department and financial accounting function up to and including delivery of the agreed management accounts and project analysis.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Analysis, timely and accurateOversight of all accounts and budgetsSign off of Year-End accounts and analysisFinancial Reports and analysis on specific areas requiring attentionBudgeting, forecasting, projectionsWorking closely with operational managementPreparing budgets and analysis for individual contracts and projectsPreparing and monitoring weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual rolling budget informationResponding decisively to budget deviations ensuring the appropriate action is takenAd hoc reporting and preparing analysis and projections to aid decision makingWorking capital managementCashflow management on an ongoing basis through effective reporting systems and active participation in the businessAudit, Tax and General ComplianceYear end Audit and Audit LiaisonTax Returns and ComplianceKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceA qualified accountant, ideally with circa 2 years’ experience in industryExperience in construction / project accounting environment highly desirableExperience of managing an accounting function in a challenging and dynamic commercial environment.A strong background and involvement in strategic commercial managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels throughout the organisation and externally.SkillsFinancial Reporting, Accounting, Budgeting, Cashflow, Analysis, Audit, Compliance
