Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to drive our global technical strategy and execution, leading our transformation into a world-class engineering organization. You will architect the systems, teams, and culture powering our next phase of growth. You’ll lead a 70+ person technology organization focused on building fast, shipping with quality, and integrating AI into what we build and how we build it, keeping us innovative, resilient, and market-leading.
This is a mission-critical role with a clear mandate: elevate our engineering organization to world-class standards. You will be the operational and strategic counterpart to the VP of Product, owning delivery excellence while co-creating the technical vision that will help us win in a market transformed by AI. Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Innovation
o Define and drive the engineering strategy that translates our technical vision into market-winning execution
o Champion innovation across the engineering organization, identifying new technical opportunities for business growth
o Partner with the CTO and Engineering directors to shape long-term technical direction and architectural decisions
o Build strong partnerships with Product, Design, and Go-to-Market leadership to identify opportunities and align on strategic priorities
* Operational Excellence
o Lead and scale our global engineering organization across product, platform, and infrastructure teams
o Establish a culture of delivery excellence through clear vision, metrics, and accountability frameworks
o Ensure industry-leading security, reliability, and scalability across our platforms
o Drive engineering performance through data-driven insights on system health, team productivity, and delivery metrics
* AI Transformation
o Establish comprehensive AI literacy across engineering, ensuring every team capitalizes on AI tools and principles
o Lead the integration of AI into our workflows, tooling, and decision-making processes
o Measure and amplify AI-driven improvements in efficiency, innovation, and product capabilities
o Position our engineering org at the forefront of responsible AI adoption
* Leadership Development & Culture
o Build world-class engineering management capacity through strategic hiring, coaching, and succession planning
o Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that attracts and retains top talent globally
o Develop leaders who thrive in a high-growth, AI-first, distributed environment
o Champion engineering excellence while maintaining pragmatic, customer-focused decision-making
* External Engagement
o Represent engineering in customer escalations, partner discussions, and investor relations
o Manage technical crisis situations with calm leadership, protecting company reputation
o Build credibility at the executive and board level through clear communication of technical strategy and impact
o Serve as a thought leader in the security and SaaS engineering community
Qualifications
* What makes you a great fit
o 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with demonstrable success in multiple companies
o Proven track record leading/scaling SaaS engineering organizations from 50 to 200+ engineers
o Deep expertise in B2B/enterprise software, distributed systems, and modern SaaS architectures
o Experience leading through market disruptions and technical transformations
o Strong background in building and leading globally distributed, hybrid teams
