Cotter Agritech is an Irish agtech scaleup founded in 2019, based in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. We design and manufacture premium sheep handling equipment, including the award-winning Cotter Crate system, supplying farmers across Ireland, the UK and Europe.We are recruiting a Production Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day production in a small and growing manufacturing operation, having begun sales of products in 2023. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role at the centre of the business.You will be responsible for manufacturing output, quality control, purchasing, stock control, and people. This is not a desk-only role. You will be expected to spend significant time on the factory floor, solving problems, overhauling and improving workflows, and ensuring products leave the workshop to the high standard set out to date.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & OutputPlan and manage daily and weekly production schedulesEnsure customer orders are built and delivered on timeOutline daily tasks to welding, fabrication and assembly staffIdentify and resolve production bottlenecks in cooperation with company foundersPurchasing & Stock ControlOrder raw materials and bought-in componentsPurchase and manage stockWork closely with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and qualityMaintain a clear view of material usage and future requirementsQuality ControlTake charge of build quality across our productsEnsure parts and assemblies meet internal standards before dispatchAddress recurring quality issues at root cause levelSupport quality improvements in jigs, fixtures, and processesPeople & Workshop ManagementLead and coordinate the production team (welders, fabricators, assemblers)Set and maintain expectations around quality, output, and responsibilityMaintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshopSupport training and upskilling as the team growsContinuous ImprovementImprove layouts, workflows, and build processesSupport new product introduction from prototype to repeatable productionFeed practical manufacturing input back into product designCandidate Requirements:Proven experience in a hands-on production or fabrication management roleStrong understanding of metal fabrication (TIG welding, stainless steel, assembly)Comfortable managing people and getting involved on the floor when neededPractical, organised, and decisive - be able to make calls without excessive bureaucracyHigh attention to detail and pride in your job and what the quality of the process and products you are managingGood command of spoken and written EnglishExperience in agricultural machinery, engineering, or equipment manufacturing is a strong advantage.BenefitsExcellent salary with clear scope for progressionA senior, trusted role in an award-winning and growing Irish agtech business making life easier for sheep farmers across Ireland, the UK and EuropeHigh autonomy and real influence over how production is runBonusesFlexible hoursJob Types: 1 Full-time, Permanent position availableSchedule:38 hours a week, Monday to Friday (flexible on this)Job Type: Full-timePay: €50,000.00-€65,000.00 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Abbeyfeale, County Limerick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Experience:Production management: 2 years (required)Work Location: In person
