The role
Civil Engineer – Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare
Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a major wastewater treatment plant project in Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of Ireland’s most significant water infrastructure developments, delivering essential utilities that support communities and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will bring strong site engineering experience, excellent technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to project delivery within a live operational environment.
Responsibilities
Manage daily site engineering activities across civil works packages.
Carry out setting out, surveying, and site control duties.
Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against programme targets.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate site records, including QA documentation and as-built information.
Assist with planning and sequencing of works to minimise disruption within a live operational facility.
Support the project team in resolving technical and construction challenges.
Monitor health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance on site.
Liaise with design teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Civil Engineer or Site Engineer role.
Experience working on utilities, water, wastewater, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Strong setting out and surveying skills using modern equipment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Full clean driving licence.
