About the Job
The Engineering Manager will lead and develop the Engineering Team, with responsibility for
managing day to day engineering, support of operations along with process & facility improvement activities.
Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
Engineering
• Manage day to day activities for Process and Facilities engineering function.
• Manage process & facility equipment lifecycle including equipment specification through to
validation and improvement.
• Manage equipment specification, qualification, and validation activities.
• Manage CAPEX process for Engineering Team
• Develop Continuous improvement processes and Problem solving processes which are data
centric.
Health & Safety
• Always comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental policy and associated procedures.
• Continuously promote a positive safety culture by challenging yourself and others to
prioritize safety in everything you do.
Quality Compliance
• Ensure all work carried out, is in compliance with the required standards, conforming to
company, cGMP, SOP's and regulatory guidelines.
• Responsibility for quality compliance in all Engineering Team activities.
• Responsible for leading Engineering Team in regulatory and customer audits.
Management
• Participate as part of the Eirgen Management Team in the effective running of the site day
to day activities.
• Prepare and oversee the Engineering Department budget including timelines, resource
demands and allocations.
• Ensure adherence with Engineering KPIs in support of broader business objectives.
• Effectively manage the Engineering Department including performance management,
coaching and mentoring.
Engineering
• Accountable for Maintenance, Facilities, Automation and calibration, including the
development and implementation of best in class Maintenance standards.
• Accountable for the management of site wide incremental capital investment to schedule
and to budget.
• Management of the Engineering Budget
• Responsible for the maintenance of Engineering documentation, including drawings.
• Responsible for managing Engineering changes in both GMP and non GMP environments.
Team Development
• Build and develop high performance culture in Engineering Team as needed.
• Foster culture of individual development to expand and deepen capability amongst
Engineering team.
• Ensure strong cross functional relationships are developed and maintained with other
functions to deliver business value.
About you
You have a third level education in Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline or 10+
years of engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 of those at a
management level.
