Title: Purchasing / Logistics Coordinator
Location: Dublin 15, Onsite
Position Objective:
Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator to coordinate its procurement activities for its UK and Ireland operations. This role is critical in ensuring the company maintains a competitive supply chain, secures high-quality products, and achieves cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a background in purchasing, particularly dealing with suppliers in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor supplier lead times and product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.
2. Obtain quotes and place orders for materials or products based on the company’s needs.
3. Track stock levels and help ensure that the right amount of products or materials are available to meet business demands without overstocking.
4. Work with logistics partners to schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and escalating any issues that may arise.
5. Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders and update on delivery schedules.
6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and shipments.
7. Assist in resolving any shipping delays, damaged goods, or product shortages.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
2. Industry experience in industrial electrical distribution, components, or a related sector is not required but highly desirable.
