Sam Dennigan & Company uc, one of the largest Irish owned fresh produce and logistics company based in North County Dublin, are currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Operative, for our busy depot in Oldtown.Job PurposeWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Water Treatment Plant Operator / Maintenance Operative to join our team. No prior experience in water treatment or maintenance is required, although previous experience would be an advantage. The Maintenance Operative will report to the Health & Safety/Facilities Manager. They are involved with the coordination and maintenance of equipment on site and will work closely with the management team to ensure any repairs/ maintenance of equipment is carried out to a high standard.Key Activities:To ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest possible standards.Assist with the operation and monitoring of the water treatment plant.To record all work carried out on maintenance tracker.Support minor maintenance and repair work under supervision.To provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all maintenance activities.To assist management in all technical activities (projects, equipment install, reporting and continuous improvements etc.)To work alongside the Maintenance Team to build a continuous improvement environment within the facility.To be a good communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.Experience:Willing to learn and develop new skills, with a practical, hands on approach and strong attention to detail.Excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Fluency in English Language both verbal and written.A reliable team player who follows instructions carefully and works well with others.Maintenance or mechanical experience is beneficial though not essentialHours of Work5 Days over 7Full time 40 hours per weekFixed-Term 6-Month Contract with a view to PermanentImmediate start for suitable candidatesBenefits:Onsite parkingCompetitive Rate of PayEmployee Assistant ProgrammeAdditional Annual Leave based on service yearsOwn transport essential.We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
