Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Community Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Community Centre in Dublin. The role involves managing staff, coordinating community activities, and ensuring the Centre meets the needs of diverse local communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for the Centre
* Manage daily operations, staff, and community activities
* Report to the Board on strategy, finances, and governance
* Develop business and marketing plans to increase engagement
* Build relationships with local groups, schools, and stakeholders
* Oversee health and safety, including emergency procedures
* Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and manage bookings
* Manage budgets, financial reporting, and funding applications
* Support the coffee shop as a social enterprise
* Recruit, train, and manage staff performance
* Maintain building and equipment through planned maintenance
* Participate in local networks and community projects
* Ensure policies, procedures, and health and safety standards are followed
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 2 years in a management role
* Strong financial and budget management skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work with a diverse community
* IT skills and familiarity with digital tools
* Knowledge of health and safety standards
* Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus
* Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks
* Approachable, solution-focused, and calm under pressure
* Honest, reliable, and flexible
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
