Opportunity Overview
As a Van Sales Representative, you will be the face of Stafford Lynch in-store, interacting with store managers. Your responsibilities include sales and merchandising of all Stafford Lynch products across various channels, adapting to the company's sales strategy and priorities, which may change.
This role offers exposure to a busy FMCG environment, with opportunities to develop sales, influencing, and people skills. The geographical range is flexible to maximize sales during seasonal periods like Christmas and summer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Sales
* Develop and deliver sales within a designated geographic area.
* Manage NPD sell-in based on national ranging agreements.
* Implement range extensions and follow up on leads.
* Support seasonal sales initiatives, such as the Golden Quarter.
* Service customers according to journey plans and SLAs.
* Adopt new brands, channels, and promotional tools proactively.
Orders, Stock, Promotions
* Agree on local ranging based on account criteria.
* Implement promotional deals and manage stock cycles.
* Influence store ordering and manage stock rotation and depot management where applicable.
Audits
* Conduct store audits as per cycle needs.
* Capture and communicate brand and competitor activity.
Merchandising
* Ensure best-in-class merchandising, including planogram implementation and POS placement.
* Build and merchandise branded stands when applicable.
Skills and Experience
* Valid category B driving license.
* Strong influencing skills and experience in sales growth strategies.
* Merchandising experience in FMCG is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex deals.
* Ability to build positive relationships with retail stakeholders.
* High energy, self-motivated, and committed to customer relationships.
* Local retail knowledge is a plus.
