Overview
Location: Dublin | Hybrid (3 days in office)
We are seeking an Accounting Technician / Accounts Assistant with at least 2+ years’ experience in a trainee accounting role within a financial services company or recognised accounting firm. An Accounting Technician qualification would also be considered.
CLO experience is essential – this is the key requirement for the role. Candidates with solid funds experience may be considered, but CLO exposure will always be prioritised. A sound knowledge of accounting debits and credits, with experience posting to a general ledger, is expected.
This is a hands-on delivery role – ideal for someone who enjoys being heads-down, focused, and detail-driven. It does not involve client-facing work or financial reporting, but instead requires accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in managing large data volumes for CLO SPVs.
Key Responsibilities
* Reconcile and process high-volume CLO data, preparing trial balances for Irish, Jersey & Cayman SPVs within deadlines.
* Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for CLO portfolios.
* Complete and file quarterly regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland.
* Support the preparation of iXBRL financial statements (training provided).
* Mentor junior team members as required.
Key requirements
* CLO experience (must-have).
* 2+ years relevant accounting trainee experience OR Accounting Technician qualification.
* Highly proficient in Excel (vlookup/xlookup, sumifs) with experience handling large datasets.
