Job Description
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of our construction projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are accurately managed and controlled.
You will work closely with our clients and project managers to deliver high-quality services, providing exceptional value to our customers. Your responsibilities will include managing commercial relationships, measuring, pricing, negotiating budgets and costs, checking project costs, and producing procurement schedules.
The ideal candidate will possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management, have 7+ years of experience, and be highly motivated, driven, and a team player. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is also essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Manage commercial and contractual aspects of client relationships.
* Measure, price, negotiate, and agree budgets and costs for project variations.
* Verify accurate project costs and address queries as necessary.
* Attend pre-contract meetings, engage with construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
* Create and maintain up-to-date procurement schedules.
* Analyze subcontractor quotations, make recommendations for order placement, and compile subcontract orders for approval.
* Conduct site visits to measure and value completed works.
* Evaluate subcontractor payment entitlements and process payments.
* Reconcile cost and value to date/forecast to inform management teams of project performance.
