As part of our expansion, we seek self-motivated individuals with a passion for food and sales to join our Foodservice Business Development team. We currently have a vacancy in Southeast Leinster, covering Kilkenny, Wexford, Laois, Kildare, Tipperary, and Waterford.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Business Development Manager – Foodservice, the successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer experiences, achieve sales targets, and drive new business growth. This role is ideal for a commercially minded individual with a background as a chef or in hospitality/food and beverage, who is passionate about high-quality food and capable of bringing products to market successfully.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop new and existing food service accounts
2. Maintain a call pattern with existing customers
3. Provide excellent customer service, product, and industry knowledge
4. Identify and target new food service business opportunities
5. Expand offerings and proposals to current customers
6. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues efficiently
7. Enhance product knowledge and share insights to support sales growth
8. Offer new food solutions and concepts to customers
9. Submit daily and weekly sales reports to the Foodservice Commercial Sales Manager
10. Analyze customer sales performance to identify key accounts for visits
11. Collaborate with departments such as National Accounts, Finance, Marketing, and HR to meet business objectives
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience in the Foodservice industry
* Strong ability to analyze and interpret sales data
* Proficient in using sales reports to improve performance
* Understanding of sales and margin management
* Excellent communication skills
* Results-driven with a focus on targets
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Valid driver’s license
* Background in food retail, culinary arts, hospitality, or beverages, with effective communication with chefs
