Job Title: Technology and Data Risk Management
Job Level: L10

CBI Fitness & Probity Designations: This is a regulated role and is subject to the Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI") Fitness & Probity standards. Job holders must be assessed as meeting these standards before commencing and annually thereafter. The designated Controlled Functions (CFs) of this role are: CF 2.
SEAR: This role is not in scope under the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR).

This role is a regulated Controlled Function and the information here reflects primary activities and responsibilities. Any changes to responsibilities should be communicated to Human Resources.
Role Overview
Technology and Data Risk Management defines expectations and provides challenge on technology, cyber and data risk management, governance, and risk mitigation activities. Specific Responsibilities
This position will establish and continuously enhance the oversight of Data Risks for TDGF and play a lead role in the execution of activities relating to the TDGF BCBS 239 book of work. It will provide guidance and oversight for the local entity, aligned with TD Bank Group programs, policies, and standards, particularly processes supporting the articulation of the Data Risk profile, trend, and the maturation of Data Risk within TDGF. The role will report into the AVP Technology and Data Risk, EAP.
Key Responsibilities

Build out and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies for TDGF.
Support the build out of Data Risk measures for the entity, including Risk Appetite measures, in alignment with enterprise measures and approach.
Support the development and delivery of regulatory, board, and risk reporting submissions in collaboration with operational risk management, enterprise risk management, committee secretaries, and senior leaders as required.
Embed Data Risk Management practices for effective second‑line oversight.
Actively engage with segment and enterprise risk colleagues to align jurisdictional Data Risk framework and methodology with enterprise frameworks.
Analyze and monitor emerging risks and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Apply a project delivery mindset to execute initiatives, including the EU Banking Licence application project, BCBS 239 project and various workstreams and programme deliverables related to Data Risk.
Drive initiatives to build compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to European banking institutions.
Stay updated on Data Risk developments, regulations, and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite.

Job Requirements

Multiple years of experience leading complex business, data, or risk initiatives across multiple businesses.
In-depth understanding of data governance best practices and industry trends.
Experience with BCBS 239 principles preferable.
Experience with creation and oversight of board, risk, and regulatory reporting.
Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present ideas and facilitate discussions to build consensus among stakeholders.
Creative and analytical thinker.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
High tolerance for pressure of constant change and stringent timelines.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Experience in roles with regional mandates is an asset.
Experience with enterprise‑wide initiatives preferred.
Experience collaborating with senior executives, regulators, and regional stakeholders preferred.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
College / University and/or equivalent work experience in the financial services industry.

Risk Management Responsibilities

Responsible for identifying and reporting operational risk events in accordance with policy.
Support a positive contribution to TDGF’s reputation and management of reputational risk. All employees must follow ethical practices and compliance with applicable policies, legislation, and regulations.
Contribute to the identification and management of conduct risk within the team and function.

Regulatory Requirements (CF role holders)
Must observe proper standards of market conduct and demonstrate awareness of all applicable regulatory requirements. Promptly report any potential violations to supervisors or managers.

TD Policy Requirements
Employees must be fully aware of and adhere to internal TD policies, including the Code of Conduct and Ethics. All regulatory and compliance issues should be reported to TD Management and Compliance. Managers are responsible for supervising staff and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
