Quantity Surveyor Civil Contractor Renewables Project
AA Euro Group On behalf of our client, a leading civil contractor, we are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile solar farm project based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company delivering critical renewable energy infrastructure in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full commercial lifecycle of the solar farm project from pre-construction through to final account.
* Prepare and submit valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
* Procure subcontractor packages, negotiate terms, and oversee performance and compliance.
* Track variations, assess claims, and provide commercial advice to the project team.
* Maintain tight budget control and ensure cost-effective delivery.
* Attend site and project meetings; liaise with clients, engineers, and the internal team.
* Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and contractual obligations.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a similar field.
* Minimum 3 years` experience in a civil or infrastructure QS role.
* Experience with civils packages including groundworks, drainage, ducting, and associated infrastructure.
* Familiarity with NEC/FIDIC contracts (or similar).
* Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and standard cost control software.
* Full driving licence and ability to travel to the site in Cork.
Desirable
* Experience on renewable energy or solar PV projects.
* Chartered status or working towards RICS/SCSI/CIOB membership.
