Our Process Engineering team is seeking a Senior Staff Process Engineer to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. This role involves applying sound engineering principles to implement, improve, and validate manufacturing processes for equipment used in scaling up new or existing products.
Responsibilities
* Improve, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes and assembly steps within a regulated quality system.
* Lead and support equipment/process qualifications, including protocol development and execution.
* Develop and maintain project timelines, providing updates to leadership.
* Apply problem-solving skills to identify process risks and develop mitigation plans.
* Plan and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to characterize processes and determine optimal operating windows.
* Consult with vendors to ensure equipment and materials meet specifications.
* Analyze data statistically and present findings to technical teams.
* Transfer process knowledge to operations teams and provide technical training.
* Assist in developing project timelines and provide technical updates to leadership.
* Support scaling up processes from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 13+ years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years, or a PhD with 5+ years.
* Ability to manage self-directed projects, maintain timelines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks.
* Hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation; JMP or Minitab experience preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understanding of high-reliability manufacturing processes and designs.
