Their commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term partnerships makes them a trusted provider in critical infrastructure worldwide.Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Buyer Planner will collaborate with colleagues throughout the company to achieve Best-in-Class performance for CEL and our customers. This position will be accountable for ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient delivery of all materials to support our customer projects.The ideal candidate should possess robust analytical, planning, and communication skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of material supply management systems.Key Responsibilities:Take full responsibility for the entire order lifecycle for assigned customer orders and commoditiesAchieve all key performance indicators (KPIs) and targetsEnsure that AVL and ERP data is kept current concerning your commoditiesOversee the supply chain function, managing the requirements for raw materials through to the delivery of finished goodsSource essential raw material components to support production at the plantExpedite or de-expedite work and purchase orders through the ERP systemMonitor and manage inventory levels for designated product familiesAssist with the procurement of capital and indirect materialsEngage in tactical vendor relationship management with key suppliersEnsure the accuracy of MRP records is maintained and updated as necessary to reflect the master data accuracy for all managed commoditiesAssist with production order planning and work-in-progress managementFoster positive relationships with suppliers through weekly check-ins and participation in quarterly business reviews (QBRs)Investigate alternative supply chain solutions to secure materials at the best possible terms, including pricing, lead times, and flexibilityProvide proactive day-to-day operational support for all supply chain-related issuesRequirementsBachelor degree in a related field is preferred, along with at least two years of experience in a similar positionExceptional time management skills and a keen attention to detailAbility to effectively plan, manage workloads, and adjust priorities as necessaryStrong communication, relationship management, and negotiation abilitiesRobust commercial awareness and proficiency in implementing cost-saving strategiesSelf-driven and focused on results, with a talent for identifying and resolving challengesIn-depth knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Business-by-Design) and procurement processesExemplary integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and accountabilitySkilled in the Microsoft suite of programs, with advanced Excel skills being an assetAble to establish strong and reliable working relationships with colleaguesBenefitsWhy Join CEL Critical Power?Join a Trusted Industry Leader - 42 Years of ExcellenceCEL has been delivering high-quality, bespoke power distribution solutions for over four decades, with products that stand the test of time.Be Part of a Global ExpansionWith CEL launching its first US manufacturing plant, you will have the opportunity to work on international projects and documentation standards while collaborating with colleagues across North America.Collaborate with World-Class Engineers, Vendors & Industry ExpertsYou'll work alongside leading engineers, project managers, document controllers, product managers, and global vendors, ensuring excellence and operational success across CEL's international teams.Shape the Future of CEL - Critical PowerThis is more than just an operator role—it's an opportunity to help forge the future of CEL and our expansion across the US.Competitive Salary, Benefits & Career GrowthWe offer structured career development, professional training, and leadership opportunities, ensuring long-term career progression.
