Due to continued growth, Sonas Nursing Home Group is seeking a proactive and highly organised Maintenance Coordinator to ensure our nursing homes remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained at all times.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading national provider of residential care for older persons. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating maintenance operations, scheduling planned works, and managing contractors across multiple sites. You'll bring strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest standards in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and support maintenance staff across multiple sites.
* Oversee external contractors, ensuring all documentation and health & safety standards are met.
* Develop and manage maintenance schedules, risk management plans, and communication plans.
* Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
* Manage budgets and monitor contractor performance.
* Coordinate and track all maintenance and renovation projects to ensure timely completion.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, purchases, and costs.
* Liaise with the Procurement Officer on equipment, fixtures, fittings, and supplies.
* Support site managers in developing and implementing annual maintenance plans.
* Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Building Trade, or related field (desirable).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a building services or maintenance coordination role.
* Strong knowledge of building systems (heating, electrical, air conditioning, ventilation).
* Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contractors across multiple locations.
* Highly organised with excellent time management and communication skills.
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full clean
driving licence
and willingness to travel between sites.
