This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading insurer, focusing on delivering exceptional sales support, underwriting expertise, and quality service to broker partners. Your Role Handle new business and renewal submissions in line with underwriting standards and risk appetite. Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners to support business retention and new client acquisition. Manage technical referrals from broker partners, claims, and internal teams, providing clear and timely decisions. Identify and convert new commercial opportunities through broker engagement and market insight. Support and mentor junior underwriters, ensuring consistency in underwriting practices and fostering professional growth. Maximise revenue generation through rate carry and optimising sales and retention opportunities. Collaborate with Business Development teams to identify and support potential revenue streams. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, maintaining agreed service standards. Take ownership of individual and team objectives, contributing to a high-performing underwriting function. Your Skills Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial underwriting or sales, with specific expertise in fleet insurance. APA Commercial qualification essential, with a commitment to achieving CIP. Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting criteria. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on developing long-term broker relationships. Proven decision-making ability, balancing commercial judgement with underwriting discipline. Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
