We are a leading nursing home in Ireland, dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking an experienced Activities Co-ordinator to join our team.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. This will include planning and organizing events, activities, and outings that cater to diverse interests and needs.
You will work closely with our care staff to ensure that all residents have access to stimulating pastimes and creative opportunities. You will also be responsible for maintaining individual social activity plans for each resident, identifying their preferences, and communicating effectively with relatives and friends.

Responsibilities
* To identify the social activity preferences of each resident
* To maintain individual social activity plans for each resident
* To plan the daily social activity programme and facilitate external providers
* To motivate care staff to be actively involved in the delivery of the social activity programme
* To communicate effectively with the staff nurse regarding the wellbeing of residents participating in social activity
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position
* An excellent understanding of adult care practices and principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location
