OverviewJob Title: Junior Access Control and Time & Attendance (T&A) Hardware EngineerReports To: Head of OperationsPosition Overview: We are excited to announce an opening for a Junior Access Control and Time & Attendance (T&A) Hardware Engineer within the Engineering team.The successful candidate will support the installation, deployment and maintenance of access control and time clock systems, and will be eager to learn, possess strong technical aptitude, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service.This role offers flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of the position, with responsibilities that may include nationwide and global operations.Role ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation and deployment of access control and T&A hardware across various locations.Ensure installations adhere to client specifications and standards, as well as company and industry standards.Maintenance & RepairsParticipate in scheduled maintenance visits and provide timely assistance for hardware repairs.Utilise troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware issues efficiently, with support and guidance from Senior Engineers.Training & SupportSupport Senior Engineers in delivering training sessions on hardware operations, both internally and externally.Promote remote support to address any hardware-related queries and/or issues for our existing client base.Hardware ManagementAssist in maintaining records of hardware details for each client within our CRM.Coordinate with our logistics partners to ensure stock levels are managed properly and to ensure shipments are facilitated.Spare Parts ManagementAssist in the management of a global inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability for maintenance visits and/or repairs.Develop strategies for the optimisation of spare parts logistics aiming to minimise downtime.Site Visits & SurveysParticipate in site visits and surveys to assess hardware requirements.Collaborate with internal teams, as well as clients, to address site-specific challenges and opportunities.Foster collaboration within the team and between departments for optimal outcomes.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.Evaluate new products and innovative technologies and provide feedback and insights that will drive continuous improvement in hardware solutions.Gather valuable feedback on the system and the company, both positive and/or negative, ensuring that we receive customers honest opinions which will allow us to develop any necessary solutions to any aspect of the customer journey.RequirementsInterest in learning about installation, deployment, and maintenance of access control and T&A hardware.
