QA/QC Engineer – Precast Concrete Location: Blessington - Wicklow Industry: Precast Concrete / Construction / Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-time The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems within a precast concrete manufacturing environment.
The role ensures that all products comply with project specifications, Irish and European standards, client requirements, and company quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO ****, EN standards, and company procedures Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, EN 206, IS 465, and relevant CE Marking requirements Coordinate internal audits and support external audits (NSAI, certification bodies, client audits) Review project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements for quality compliance Quality Control Monitor and inspect all stages of precast production including reinforcement placement, formwork, concreting, curing, finishing, and storage Ensure correct batching, testing, and certification of concrete materials Oversee routine testing (slump, cube strength, durability testing, dimensional checks) Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented Maintain accurate quality records, test reports, and traceability documentation Site
