Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a Heavy Machine Operator for a full-time, permanent role based inCo. Meath.
You’ll be a key part of a busy recycling operation, managing machinery and supporting material handling and recovery activities across the yard and waste transfer area.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Operate a variety of heavy machinery including 360 track machines, loading shovels, sweepers, forklifts, and shunter trucks
* Grade and sort waste streams to ensure maximum material recovery
* Identify and remove non-conforming or contaminated waste items
* Support general yard operations including housekeeping and ad hoc manual tasks
* Carry out vehicle and equipment checks as required
* Ensure full compliance with all health and safety guidelines
* Maintain professional conduct at all times when dealing with colleagues and the public
What We Are Looking For
* 1–2 years of experience in a transport, recycling, or waste environment
* Experience with 360 excavators, forklifts, or loading equipment (licences desirable – training can be provided)
* Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification an advantage
* Proficient in spoken and written English
* Flexible and willing to work across multiple departments as needed
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland
