Job OverviewWe have several opportunities for Production Operatives to join our growing manufacturing team at Britvic Ireland.
As a Production Operative, you will work to achieve the required quality standards and contribute towards achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control, operation, and maintenance of the relevant equipment.
You will drive continuous improvement through a structured approach using individual/team skills and utilizing systematic processes like root cause problem solving, lean manufacturing techniques, and other designated production, maintenance, and planning tools.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment in accordance with best practices, complying with health and safety rules, regulations, and Britvic policies and proceduresProvide a comprehensive production service across the site, operating plant, carrying out maintenance & cleaning schedules, responding to breakdowns, and assessing & monitoring plant performanceSupport other team members and develop positive relationships with colleagues, including contract personnelComply with company policies and statutory regulations for health & safety and environmentAdhere to operational procedures and production timelinesKeep work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous materialsMonitor production lines and conduct basic testing and quality checksStore goods and raw materials in a factory or warehouse, which may involve operating lifting equipment and forklift trucksCarry out all necessary quality assurance analysis in-house and update information/QA/EWM systems and all other process duties in a timely mannerAcquire, share & apply new skills to drive Continuous ImprovementDevelop and attain world-class standards of performance/excellence using agreed KPIs (overall equipment effectiveness)Participate in competency-based training programs and apply learningsKnowledge, Skills & Experience RequiredDirect Manufacturing Operational experience working in a fast-paced, Consumer goods environmentPrevious skills in the theory and application of Total Productive Maintenance and improvement principles while operating/controlling machineryWorking knowledge of SAP & EWMExcellent communication, team support, and facilitation skillsSound knowledge of manufacturing processesSound knowledge of HSE processes and applicationUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activitiesWorking knowledge and application of reliability-centered maintenance, e.g., first response and support to annual overhaulsKey BehavioursTakes pride in their approach to workHas a clear, consistent focus on improving ways of workingSupports a culture of continuous improvementTakes a positive role in developing the skills of othersMotivates others to work together through effective teamworkTakes personal responsibility to ensure results are delivered
