Purpose Statement:
Responsible for performing functions associated with manufacturing operations, including supporting manufacturing lines (equipment and personnel), root causing nonconforming products, and monitoring line performance relative to goals. Assists in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations, including QSR and ISO standards.
2. Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
3. Perform equipment setup and maintenance, including corrective, preventive, and calibration tasks.
4. Install and validate equipment and processes to improve yield or reduce cycle time following validation procedures.
5. Evaluate operating data to make on-line adjustments; develop or revise documents and procedures as needed.
6. Certify manufacturing associates in production processes.
7. Evaluate and order necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Education & Job Skills:
1. National Framework of Qualifications level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline, with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent.
2. Broad knowledge of technical concepts, systems, and data analysis; experience working in a quality system environment.
3. Performs non-routine to moderately complex technical tasks, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
4. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily work routines.
5. Solves problems of limited to moderate scope, maintaining confidentiality as needed.
6. Works under general supervision, with instructions on new tasks.
