City Jet is seeking a highly capable Crew Controller to join its Operations Control Centre.
This is a shift-based role covering a 24-hour operation, responsible for the effective day-to-day resourcing of Pilot and Cabin Crew in line with the City Jet flying programme.
The Crew Controller plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity by ensuring all crewing decisions comply with EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL), Fatigue Risk Management (FRM), and Company Labour Agreements (CLA), while prioritising safety, punctuality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Manage Pilot and Cabin Crew resources in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner Ensure full compliance with applicable FTL, FRM, and contractual requirements Prioritise safety, security, and on-time performance in all crewing decisions Maintain the integrity of the Companys published flying programme Respond effectively to complex and time-critical operational disruptions Coordinate crew hotels, transport, and travel arrangements Manage ad-hoc hotel accommodation (HOTAC) and travel requirements during live operations Maintain excellent communication with crew members, OCC colleagues, and relevant management Monitor and manage crew training requirements on the live roster Identify and apply cost-saving opportunities where operationally appropriate Adhere strictly to departmental procedures and OCC protocols Undertake additional duties as required to support operational needs Required Experience & Skills Thorough knowledge of EASA Flight Time Limitations Working knowledge of crew agreements and roster policies Strong understanding of airline operations and the aviation industry Previous experience in a Crew Control or similar operational role (desirable) Proven ability to manage complex, unpredictable situations in a pressurised environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions within tight timeframes Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Resilient, mature, and adaptable personality Ability to see the big picture while managing operational detail Experience in resource management, planning, or a fast-paced customer service environment (advantage) Personal Attributes High level of commitment and flexibility Comfortable working in a 24/7 shift-based environment Calm and decisive under pressure Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving Skills: EASA Flight Time Limitations - Management & Planning - Airline Experience Benefits: Staff Travel - Social Club - Pension - Death in Service
