RecruitNet is hiring for a Director of Nursing for our client, a leading Nursing Home in Co Cork.
Responsibilities Maintain excellent standards of nursing care in accordance with best practices and legal requirements by exercising effective leadership.
Oversee the clinical and operational management of nursing home employees on a daily basis, making sure that resources are allocated and staffing levels are ideal.
Verify adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements as well as HIQA (Health Information and Quality Authority) standards.
Work together with interdisciplinary teams to create and carry out resident-specific care plans.
Take the lead in projects that will enhance the nursing home's residents' general well-being, safety, and quality of care.
Assure continuing education and training for nursing staff by offering them professional development opportunities, support, and mentoring.
Oversee and track clinical performance indicators, noting any shortcomings and guaranteeing ongoing progress.
Requirements A minimum of three years' experience (within the last six years) in a senior nursing management role in elder care.
Qualification for post-registration management Presently enrolled with the NMBI Demonstrated clinical, leadership, and interpersonal capabilities Thorough familiarity with the HEALTH ACT **** and HIQA requirements and regulations Outstanding organizational, leadership, and communication abilities Demonstrated ability to make decisions Gerontology training is preferred.
