Our clients are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor Advisor position to work with their Capital and Estates teams in the North West.
The Capital and Estates department provides a range of professional, technical, project management, property, Fire & Safety and related services in respect of the procurement, development, operation and maintenance of the health service's physical infrastructure – including buildings, plant and equipment.
This role is offered on a 1 year rolling contract, with great potential for extension and permanency in the future.

Responsibilities:
The Quantity Surveying Adviser will provide and manage the following services:
9. Strategic advice and guidance on the Built Environment in the service and related service planning and development issues
10. Professional technical advice and guidance to the service
11. Capital programme and project management of same
12. Procurement of professional design services, construction works and equipment.
13. Support in the provision and management of estates services through the provision of specific procurement, contractual and commercial related advice and support in accordance with policy, agreed budgets and agreements at a national, regional and local level, and in compliance with public procurement regulations and other relevant statutory requirements.
Requirements:
14. Candidates must hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in Quantity Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute (Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
OR
15. Hold a qualification at least equivalent to those listed above.
OR
16. Be registered as a Quantity Surveyor or be eligible for registration as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007.
OR
17. Have a full membership of, or be eligible for membership of a relevant professional association:
18. – Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland
19. – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
AND
20. Have at least 7 years satisfactory & relevant experience fulfilling the role of a Quantity Surveyor with either a contractor organisation or a private consultancy business
