Method Development & Validation Specialist – Analytical Development (Pharmaceutical Services)
Location: Cork, Ireland | Full-Time | On-Site with Client
We are seeking an experienced analytical scientist to join a dynamic Professional Scientific Services (PSS) team supporting a leading pharmaceutical client in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, GMP-regulated environment emphasizing innovation, quality, and scientific excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support method development, validation, and transfer activities following regulatory guidelines.
* Provide technical expertise for new product introductions, troubleshooting analytical challenges.
* Interpret and document analytical data in compliance with ALCOA+ and GMP standards.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, IR, LC-MS, and ICP-OES.
* Mentor and train junior analysts, review technical documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Communicate effectively with client stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality metrics.
About You
* Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably within a GMP environment.
* Strong background in method development and validation for APIs, raw materials, and excipients.
* Proficient in troubleshooting analytical instrumentation and methodologies.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
