Job Description
The Financial Reporting Department is responsible for preparing annual and semi-annual financial statements for our clients, as well as managing all aspects of the audit process.
The team produces financial statements under various accounting standards, including Irish GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
The Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting will ensure that the preparation of first draft financial statements for a range of funds administered are produced in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
They will also plan, organize, and monitor the production of financial statements for funds on behalf of BNY, and maintain and provide regular management information on relevant aspects of the team and its deliverables.
The Assistant Manager will review and sign-off of financial draft reports, accounts files, and other associated calculations and information.
They will also ensure effective and cooperative liaison with external and internal parties relevant to team deliverables, and participate and contribute to ongoing development of Financial Reporting structures, processes, and controls.
In addition, they will represent the Financial Reporting department on ad-hoc projects and specific tasks as required, and present fund reports to the Board of Directors to ensure good governance and communication of fund status.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Significant experience preferably within a fund administrator or Big 4 firm with fund investments exposure.
* Strong accounting knowledge covering relevant accounting standards and regulations, including IFRS and US GAAP and investment fund structures (Alternative funds, Private Equity hedge funds etc).
* Experienced in use of financial reporting platforms, including Confluence Unity and/or DFIN Arc Reporting, to prepare, review, and publish accurate financial reporting is an advantage.
